Social compact needed to restore SA’s restaurant, fast food industries

This week the Minister of Tourism Mmamoloko  Kubayi-Ngubane appealed to restaurants in the industry to follow level 2 lockdown regulations. This was after complaints were received from citizens, employees and members of the industry about non-compliance to social distancing and the wearing of mask. It is for this reason that a social compact between restaurants, government and citizens needs to be entered into so that restaurants can stay open and customers can feel that the industry is taking their safety concerns seriously.
