What we see here is a general pull down effect. Theoretically, political support goes from specific evaluations of aspects of leadership, performance of key institutions, institutional trust, satisfaction with key aspects of performance through to satisfaction with democracy and the demand for democracy. National pride sits on top of all these and so, if these aspects are pulling down, and we see them coming down across a range of markers, it will slowly have a corrosive effect on national pride. National pride occurs at the more general level, and you expect to see pull down last of all because it sits on top all these other dynamics. But it has started to pull down and it has a lot more to do with these broad based set of political dynamics and political evaluations on which national pride sits.
